The work
Bay islands in Chincoteague Bay are being lost to erosion, sea level rise and natural succession, taking essential waterbird habitat with them.
With funding from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, MCBP has developed a plan to protect and enhance Tizzard Island so that the habitat it offers is not significantly lost to changes driven by sea level rise.
